Once again, THE Stu Thurston and Professor Dick Hunt were co-directors of this race and can't ask for anything better! Great course, low cost, nice Shirts, and a prize for everyone!

On to the results! CMS member Richard Bolt blazed through the course to lead all finishers home, thus securing the first Nantaskett Beach Hotel voucher from the Club! Nantaskett Beach Hotel is providing certificates for an unrestricted FREE night stay at the hotel to the top male and female finishers for our main club races. Stephanie Crawford came in first for the women and thus won the other certificate! Linda Usher was the first CMS female as well as tops in her age category! Paul Young and John Kinnee were other notable CMS runners to finish atop their age brackets!

Richard Bolt, this years winner,  established a course record for this double loop course (25.45) that began in 2003..  This course was changed from a single loop course that ended in 2002.  Joe Knapp also set a record (28.52)  for the male Master category for the double loop course. Stephanie Crawford, the first women, came within 38 seconds of the record.

I noticed the write up regarding Richard Bolts course record at the Deer Run. I thought they changed the course after 2001 due to permissions with the MDC?  That would give Mike Maloney’s 25:25 from 2002 as the 2 loop record. Not sure when Dick Hunt changed to the 2 loop format. You may want to check with him because if it was 2003 then Richard did break the record.
Also I believe my 28:04 run this year established the men's masters 2-loop record
