From 495 North or South take Exit 26, left on Route 62 towards Clinton/Berlin. Follow Route 62, take right on Route 62/70 and follow into Clinton, left on Route 110. Clinton Middle School is on your left

From 190 North or South take Exit 5, Route140 South. Take left on Rout. 12/110, then right on 110. Clinton Middle School is on your right.

Distance 30K individual, and
Four-person relay (each leg between 4.2 and 5.5 miles). 
Very hilly loop on paved roads around Wachusett Reservoir.  Course map: http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=352
Well-marked and monitored course.

Note: Roads are open to traffic.  For safety reasons, bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates, roller blades, animals and headsets are not permitted in this race.

Relay The relay will be run simultaneously and on the same course as Stu’s 30K. There are 4 relay legs ranging from 4.2 to 5.4 miles. Each team must consist of at least two members and a maximum of four members.

Relay Distances Exchange Locations
Leg 1: 4.4 miles – Lead-off leg: starts with everyone else at the Clinton School
Leg 2: 4.6 miles – Old Stone Church – Parking at Causeway Crossing stores and offices
Leg 3: 4.2 miles - Fountain Services, Rte 140 - Parking at Fountain Services
Leg 4: 5.4 miles - Tahanto Regional High School – Parking at school

Transportation to and from exchange locations is responsibility of teams. Signs will be posted at each transition area and a volunteer will be there to assist relay team members. Team members will wear a slap-wrist bracelet which will be transferred to next runner at relay exchange point.

Entry Fee 30K Race - $25.00 if received by January 16;  or $30 until February 16, 2009; $40 February 17 to race day.

Parking Free.  At the Clinton Middle School and surrounding park areas
Amenities Free Parking. Changing/shower facilities.  Porta-potties on Course.  Post race refreshments and raffle.  Post-race massages.
Water Stations Water and Gatorade approximately every three miles
Refreshments Post-race Polar soda & seltzer, bagels, chowder, fruit and other goodies
Timing & Scoring Computerized timing and scoring by Central Mass Striders.

Cancellation Policy We reserve the right to cancel the race due to inclement weather or unsafe road conditions. Every attempt will be made to hold the race but the Town of Clinton and the Clinton Police Department will make the final decision about whether the race course is safe for runners, monitors, and vehicular traffic. The entry fee is non-refundable, check the CMS website at www.cmsrun.org for race updates and click on the bulletin board.
