The Central Mass Striders has a program to grant two worthy young members of our organization scholarships for pursuing their undergraduate studies.
IMPORTANT DATES for 2024 Scholarship:
Submission Deadline: June 1, 2024
Announcement of Recipients: at the CMS Members Only Event in June
Award Information: The scholarship is granted annually to young member of CMS pursuing an Undergraduate Degree.
A committee of an odd number (3 or 5) of individuals will review the applications and decided who is awarded the scholarships. No one will be on the committee if there is a family member applicant.
With proof of enrollment (ie: schedule), a check will be made payable to recipient.
Two $500.00 scholarships per year will be granted if two applicants meet the award criteria and are approved by our scholarship committee. The committee does retain the right to split an award between 2 deserving candidates, or make other amendments to the distribution of awards.
Membership Requirements: The applicants must be a CMS member for at least 3 years prior to award date, and hold a current membership (either through an individual membership or family membership) at time of application.
