The first Saturday 5K of 2026 is in the books! It was a chilly one, but that didn’t stop anyone from showing up and getting it done. Help us give back, and put on the best Turkey Trot

Help us give back, and put on the best Turkey Trot in Central Mass! We need our amazing CMS Volunteers to help at the Whitin 5.

We have open slots the morning of Thanksgiving for the race itself, and packet pick-up the night before.

It's a really fun race, and there are so many friendly faces to cheer on. Please contact Liz Doyle and Kim Gordon Laska at president@cmsrun.org with questions. We hope to see you there, and thank you so much in advance!

With everything going on in the country right now,

With everything going on in the country right now, it feels more important than ever for our running community to look out for one another. No one in our community—or anywhere—should go hungry.

This month, CMS is running a Food Drive to support Food is Love – a local mutual aid group just a couple miles from our Freezer 5 and Christmas Eve Run routes – that provides regular grocery distributions to families in need.

You can drop off non-perishable, non-expired donations at any CMS group run through November 30th, and we will donate them to Food is Love on a regular basis.
- The Monday Pub Run
- The Wednesday 11mm+ Group Run
- The Sneakerama Fun Run
- The Saturday 5K

Can’t make it to the run or to the store to shop? You can also buy items in need directly from Food is Love’s Amazon wishlist. (I just sent them a bunch of boxes of Cheerios from the list today and it was so easy!)

As a club, we are also donating $1,000 to the Joseph and Leslie Carr Foundation to help supply full holiday meals for local families who need a hand.

Double the distance, same low price!

9/20 is the third Saturday of the month. (Yes, already!) Come on down to Worcester State and run the weekly CMS Saturday 5K, or you can run the 10K—twice the fun, same great vibes.

The CMS Summer Series ain't done yet 😉

Join us every Tuesday in August for some of the best racing in Worcester all year... the Newton Hill XC Series. Tear up the trails right in the center of the city!

Race starts at 6:30pm. Registration opens at 6:00pm near the tennis courts. Just $7 for CMS members, $12 for non-members, and all proceeds go to the Friends of Newton Hill to support the park and its programming.

Hi everyone, after a very successful July of racing fun, we are looking forward to the next month of Central Mass running!

Volunteer Sign-Ups are live for these upcoming races:

Newton Hill XC 5K Series: Every Tuesday in August in Worcester! Help your friends not get lost in the woods. 🤞 The first race is in just a few days, 8/5.

The Edward Kennedy CHC 5K in Downtown Worcester: Help us time this race, which benefits an amazing cause and is always lots of laid-back fun. Next Saturday, 8/9.

Canal Diggers: (Y'all have already been bugging me for these sign-ups lol!) Volunteer at one of the biggest and best races in Worcester on the first Saturday of September. You know it, you love it, you do it for the free parking lot beers and pizza.

ALL Volunteers welcome, especially new volunteers! We can show you the basics at any event.
