Newton Hill 5K Cross Country Series

Striders and Friends of Newton Hill present the Fourteenth Annual Newton Hill 5K Cross Country Race Series All the proceeds from the races benefit Newton Hill. Last year, $500 was donated. Tuesdays, August: 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2016 beginning at 6:30PM Location: Newton Square Rotary, Corner of Pleasant St. and Highland St. Worcester, Massachusetts Proceeds: Proceeds will benefit Friends of Newton Hill for trail improvement. Course: Approximately. 3.1 miles, mostly in the woods between Park Avenue, Pleasant, and Highland Streets. Start and finish in the park at the Newton Square Rotary. Registration: Registration will begin at 6:00PM at Newton Square Rotary near the tennis courts. Scoring in the following age groups, male and female: up to 14, 14-19, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Tech shirts: To first male and female and any race participant who runs 3 or more races. Amenities: Course monitors, finish line clock, water, post race fruit and beverages. Entry fee: $10.00 pre-entry/ $12 .00 day of race. For CMS and Friends of Newton Hill members, the pre- and post-entry fee is $7.00. Race flyer and pre-entry form (PDF).
